another question about the tires.....with a 245/35/18 wouldnt that make the wheel its self more vulnerable to getting hit by things on the road on a daily basis? and with less rubber between the wheel and the ground lead to a worse ride? This car is my daily driver so i am willing to sacrifice a little perfection looks-wise to make sure its more managable to drive. Will a 245/40/18 be that much harder to fit?

yea if the tire is stretched you are gonna have more of the rim exposed to curbs or any thing else you might hit driving , just be careful very easy to do !
I have 235/40 and 245/40 stretched on 9s all around handles great but you dont want to much stretch!
