A friend (240 owner) recently stated a comment:
"S2k Owners are always looking for High Offsets and shit and 240 owners are always looking for low offsets...i noticed that shit"
is this statement true?what do you guys think about it?

well realistically a rolled fender s2k only needs 9inch with +35-+40 offset to be "flush" and for that result in the 240 world is alot less. dont quote me but im sure its down in the single digits somewhere for a 9inch wheel.
Outside from that there is some sick bastards that will run 0 or negative offset but takes far more than on the obvious cars like 240's that can get extremely wild much easier.
240s have also been cheaper longer than s2000's have been which is a big effect for people changing and modifying all the body work on a car. $20k vs. <$10k. and now the s2k can be had for under $10k so that world is coming around

At this point I think it's pretty safe to say that if you could run the same wide applications w/ negative offsets guys run on 240's, then plenty of people would be doing it. I mean look at some of the super low/negative offsets Alex has run on his car and all of the fender work he has done to make that possible.

Haha it's not like S-chassis owners just happen to be more ballsy when it comes to running lower offset and more aggressive fitment... To even compare the two chassis in terms of wheel fitment is kind of ridiculous. Stock for stock the cars have completely different inner and outer clearances and brake clearances. Outside of that as Euroflavor mentioned 240's are also a lot more affordable so guys tend to be more willing to **** their fenders/car up, or cut out their qtr panels and rivet on some over fenders or much wider qtr's.

Cant compare the S chassis to the S2k, just different, its setup differently
Example, my s14 im running 17x9.5 +17 and it sits flush
those same rims on the S2k and where talking mexi poke in the front
