Hey guys,
Got my S bout 3 weeks ago and planning on ordering coil overs and wheels pretty soon. The wheels will be 17x9 +30 F & 17x9.5 +15 R. My question to you all is mainly the tire size. I want as much meat on the wheels as I can while still being slammed with some camber (max camber 3.8-4). I was thinking a 215/40 F and 235/40 R. Not really a fan on the 205 on 9.5. All corners will be rolled with no pull. Any help/suggestions welcome!!
235/40 in the rear is gonna be pretty difficult with that +15 offset..you can probably fit it..but you'll have to run at least -5 or -6 degrees of camber in the rear..if not... You're lookin at either 215 or 225 tire.

Thanks K.Shift!!! Needed some direction on this one. Think I'll try 205/40 up front and try and find a 225/40 then.. I work at a dealership and our tire distributors didn't have any options for a 225/40/17. Know any online sources I could find em?

from what I know, there is no such thing as a 225/40/17 tire.

You can fit that set up with about 4 degrees of camber and roll the fenders completely flat and slight pull on a 215/45/17.

This is a 17x9 +22 on 215/45/17.

Much appreciated danio and btw ur setups have been damn near godly!!!

Yea I was wondering about a 225/40/17... So my next "noob" question (and I've already been through most threads) is.. 215/45 gonna stop me from slamming it that much more than going with a 215/40?? Cuz right now it looks like I'll end up going with a 205/40 on 9" and 215/40 on 9.5

Hey guys,

So i got my wheels and coils on and love'n them. I drove around for a couple days and have let the springs settle and now its time for me to get my alignment done before i tear through these tires... My question is, I.m maxed out on my rear coils (shop told me), how do I go lower so that my rear looks even or very close to my fronts (gap wise)

Im on Megan Racing Track Coils
MB Battles F 17x9 R 17x9.5 215/40 all around

I was on Megan Racing Track, and that is definitely not the lowest it goes lol

But for some reason I am not and still have a decent size wheel gap in the rear. My only guess is to be that im running a 40 series sidewall vs ur 45? I have thought bout gettin a set of shorter swift springs to compensate for the gap
