Thanks
That is backwards if you care about keeping the same diameter front/rear like a stock setup. With a staggered setup, you would want 215/45/17 or 225/45 front and either 245/40 or 255/40 rear. Those wheels aren't that aggressive to where you have to undersize the diameter.

Which size would likely fit better with a low drop? Afraid the 215/45 would have fender gap

this was my setup last year, many on hear probably know more then i do, just because i have a hard time basing off offset without physically seeing how a wheel would measure up with a test fit but i was running 10's in the front with a 245/35 and 11.5 with a 255/35 reason i ask is because this thread is about stance so assuming your car sits relatively low and if you run a 40 or 45 wall on a 9 you might f@#k up your fenders.

Yea I'm about 4 inches of the ground, I'm running 18x8 + 35 square in front and I'm rolled flat in front and at full lock I rub bad,

well what are you trying to achieve, like a meaty fitment ? see what i learned 1st hand from tire fitment is say you have a 215/40 it would fit like a 225/35 and on a 9 that's a real minor stretch, like i mean minor. what size tires are you runnig on the 18x8 set up ?

Yea trying to get as much tire without rub, I'm running 225/45/18, I think 9 will have a lil poke, I'll test fit tonight and get a pic

That tire is oversized diameter which is contributing to your rubbing issues. Your new setup will actually have more clearance:
