HPDE is not a Time Attack / Time Trial / Race or whatever you want to call it. I don't know why people always like to call HPDE's these other names in which they are clearly not. Maybe they think it sounds cooler

You say you've learned something in 10 years - I'm wondering about what, Your cars too low it's roll centers are fubar and it's possible suspension movement is little to none which is good because when your car turns moderately under compression like to catch oversteer it will do significant damage to both those fenders and tires. You could install limiters on the steering rack I guess but IDK why you'd want to.
Basically your "stanced" whip is garbage for track use.
People who confuse Time Attack with high performance drive event should be barred from entering. This kind of thinking leads to the most dangerous kinds of behavior during these events.
Yeah you can rent transponders to map your lap progress but it's designed for consistency and improvement not balls out driving in the middle of a bunch other cars that arent there for that.
You shouldn't confuse the two it's very dangerous for yourself and others to think it's the same.
Articles detailing the perils of over lowering the s2000 go back to at least 2001 when the Neuspeed s2000 was first reviewed

My car's "stance" is not even aggressive as most of the S2000 at the track are running more camber than I am. I don't reach -2 in the front and am still not even at -3 in the rear.
The word "stance" does not always equal "hellaflush" though close minded people would assume that.
My instructor, Daniel, is the current FL NASA leader, instructor for NASA, Chin, Porsche Clu and owner of Flat6 Motorworks. He's adamant that I be at full throttle/full brake and is mostly concerned about my awareness of both faster and slower drivers while maintaining full throtle/full brake.
But I do have to say, you do have some fire in you. I like that, makes me kinna like you

To me it is a "Time Attack" not a Time Trial... though all HPDE drivers are not competing with each other; I personally am competing with the clock as I rate my improvement through lap times.
But we can keep going back and forth all you want, 10 yrs on this forum has taught me a thing or two about keeping up with e-thuging...

No offense, but it seems you really haven't learned all that much in 10 years seeing as they are nowhere near the same thing.
But then again I don't believe we'll ever agree on anything other than the fact that we both love S2000s.
Hope to see you at the track sometime. Maybe you can teach me something

You guys are right, my car could never be in an autox or road course, it's way too low.
AP2 Homestead Speedway Time Trial
I think I'll go post in the SSC thread or some sort of "stanced" thread.
And no harm no foul, I still love all my fellow S2ki members

At least I've learned that the word stance does not only mean one thing
But then again I don't believe we'll ever agree on anything other than the fact that we both love S2000s.
