Finally got around with slapping on the 265/40/17 all around on 9.5 +38. Enjoy! Dont mind the fenders, I attempted to do them myself. Work is still in progress.
Here is when it was on 245/40/17.
I still have some work ahead of me but none the less I like it either way!

I'm reading lots of different things about the fitment... did you have to change your fenders? Do you rub? Are you coiled?

DTP525, thanks for your input. My fenders are rolled, just slightly pulled, and fender liner is trimmed. I already run -1.7 degrees camber, so it sounds like it will be an easy fit. Plus I plan on changing my camber to at least -2.0.
I just called tirerack and switched my order to 245/40/17...I do feel better now ordering some fronts with more meat, but I still wussed out and didnt get the 255's, but probably will next time
If you don't rub with 245s, you won't rub with 255s up front. At least for me, it wasn't a problem at all
You did exactly the same thing that I did for the front - roll w/ a slight pull. And on top of that, I only run -1.5 of camber up front.

If you can break even, yeah. If not, uhh...just keep the 245s, lol. At least you can put them on, and know what you have to do if the 245s don't fit just right...
