going from a 245 tire to a 255 tire is simply 10 mmm. so if a 245 is perfectly flush, you'd have to pull 10mm (not exactly, just giving you an idea). Another thing to consider is the size of the 255 - are you talking star specs (huge for the size) or something smaller?
You could also camber it in to make it fit by goign -2F and -3R
Not quite, but close. You do add 10mm overall, but because offset determines where the center of the tire sits you're adding both 5mm inboard and 5mm on the outside. So overall, you really only need 5mm additional clearance on the outside. This can actually slightly vary from tire to tire, as sizing is not always completely constant depending on manufacturer. Tires such as the Z1SS & RS3 are known for running "meatier" than other tires.

Also, you have to take into consideration the slightly increased overall diameter going from 245 to 255 (0.4").
Thanks guys for the good info, I think I'm gonna go for the 255 and slightly pull the fronts with negative camber. Or maybe just do 245 up front and 255 in the back

^Just do 255 all around man. You can rotate the wheels front to back that way too. Minor pull is ok.

Haha yeah I'm just scared because I don't know anyone around where I live (dfw) that pulls and rolls without ruining my fender.. I've seen so many messes up fenders out there.. Wish I lived in SoCal -_-

I put AD08's on my SBC's. 3rd set I have purchased. Great tires.
U put the SBC's on your white s2k? U got any pics?
No but that would look good. I put my hyper silver Advan RG-Ds on my white AP1 because they are perfect offsets. I got RPF1s in SBC for my Sebring Silver AP2. I didn't like the gunmetal look of my Weds on Sebring. I still have the Weds. I might just use them at the track or sell.

ok so im trying to find the perfect setup for street driving/some autox, im looking for the best performance given my specs:

2008 GPW S2K
Lowered on Eibach pro kit
All Fenders rolled with fronts slighty pulled (previous owner got this done by minitoyota)

after reading thru these last 50 pages, it seems most people are going with 17x9+45 all around, some people doing 245's all around and some doing 245 in the front and 255 in he back.....

can someone explain the pro's/con's to this? i do like the fact of being able to rotate the tires, but its not a huge deal if the other setup is better......or if you think i should go a different route all together, im really clueless when it comes to rim/tire setup

also on color if narrowed it down to SBC or Black if anyone wants to make an argument for one or the other (or post some convincing pics that arnt already in this thread )

You might as well go 9 +45 w/ 255 x4. Your fender work is basically all already done, and for autox the 255 up front is better. As you stated, the ability to rotate is a plus as well.

I dont want any rubbing whatsoever, would 255s be ok up front? Also will they look outta place being so big in the front?

So I guess I'm leaning towards no staggering at all, either 245 all around or 255

** also forgot to add i dont want to run any camber to make them fit
