How does a 17x9.5 sit so flush in the front? I used to run 18x10 and it stuck out stupid far from the front fenders. I'm looking for a flush fitment no camber. For a stock body s2k

Hi guys I've been looking through this thread and I'm really looking to get a set of these

I read that I can do 17x9 +45 with 245 tires all around with just a roll with no rubbing

However, can I go more aggressive and do 17x9+45 with 255 tires all around with just a roll? I don't want to pull my fenders.

If 255 in the front requires a pull with the 17x9+45 rpf1 then I'm just going to run 245s.. Really like the look of 255 though. Could anyone shed some light on this? If I need to pull, how much would I need to in order to run 255 in the front/rear without rubbing? Thanks guys

going from a 245 tire to a 255 tire is simply 10 mmm. so if a 245 is perfectly flush, you'd have to pull 10mm (not exactly, just giving you an idea). Another thing to consider is the size of the 255 - are you talking star specs (huge for the size) or something smaller?
You could also camber it in to make it fit by goign -2F and -3R

Not quite, but close. You do add 10mm overall, but because offset determines where the center of the tire sits you're adding both 5mm inboard and 5mm on the outside. So overall, you really only need 5mm additional clearance on the outside. This can actually slightly vary from tire to tire, as sizing is not always completely constant depending on manufacturer. Tires such as the Z1SS & RS3 are known for running "meatier" than other tires.

Also, you have to take into consideration the slightly increased overall diameter going from 245 to 255 (0.4").

Having been there the 9.5 +38 is significantly more work to fit than the 9 +45 especially if you're trying not to go overboard on rear camber.
