Alright, I'm gonna be getting a seat sometime over the winter and I can't figure out what will fit me best. I don't have anywhere local to test seats out so I'll pretty much have to rely on online info. I rarely drive long trips so I'm more worried about the holding abilities of the seat than long-term comfort. I was set on a recaro pole postition for a long time, but sat in one at a track day a few weeks ago and didn't like it at all. I'm 6'1" 195lb 33" waist and it was way too big for me, especially the leg bolstering which wasn't near tight enough for me. My friend has a recaro profi SPG and it's just a hair too tight for me, but I love the leg bolstering on it.
So I basically want something that's just slightly larger than an SPG and preferably FIA approved. Right now I'm considering the bride vios 3 and zeta 3, but I'm open to anything.

so that the belt will be closer to your lap? but the other side (where you latch it secure) will still have to be "above" the seat (ie. won't go through the hole closest to the console) correct?
Correct. This way so your seats don't get damaged as easy, plus it fits better.

^ You should undo the bottom of the seat belt and feed it through the hole closest to the door. Thats what I did for now until my harnesses fix things.
I have been thinking about doing that I am also going to get the leather Recaro side protectors to help slow wear and tear
