^hey midwesta is that the best fitment on those hardtops? Im really interest in the spoon ht but the fitment looks kinda off above the rear quarterpanel. I see you and jdmjay have the gap at the same area along with everyother owner on here. The only time i think the fitment is dead on is with alexs2200

Alexs2200's is the real deal Spoon and he has told me himself he's done some modifications to get it to fit perfectly. . Midwesta's is either the bulletproof automotive modified "mooncraft" one because it has the side windows or some other one that I don't know of. I'm not sure JDMJAY's is real Spoon or not.

Bulletproof? Eh?

I have the Shine, so does Jay.

The fitment issue is because me and Jay have them how you are supposed to have them... for a street car at least. We have the seals in place to keep water out and so the top doesn't sit ON the paint. Look at an OEM hardtop or a Mugen, they all have a "gap" because they sit above the car, it is just more noticeable with the spoon top because it goes wider and farther back. The OEM is hard to tell because the area is glass so it blends in and looks cleaner.

alexs2200 i looked at his in person and talked with him about it and he basically runs his with no seals so its sits flush with the car. His main concern was making it look like it was part of the car and making it as flush as possible, he did not mind if the paint underneath was scratched.

I didn't want to imply you guys used replica parts because some people are really sensitive to that.

Bulletproof makes the exact same hardtop you have with the windows except that they modify a real Spoon hardtop.

^^ NICE! my problem is that most of the metal has been shaved off from driveways and speedbumps my plastic flaps in front of each wheel are worn down about 3/4 in in the rear and an inch up front from driving it low
