Going back to 255s square

Should hopefully have some pics of 255 RS3s mounted next week.
My next set, just hope it clears my CWEST fenders. How much camber and pull on your fenders do you have?
I'm running about -2.75 in front. Fenders are pulled just a tad though. I'm curious to see if I have anymore rubbing compared to my old 255 RE11s. On hard turns I could hear some rubbing on the inner fender wall. And from the looks of it, RS3s run very wide, most likely wider than the RE11s. So I'll probably have to raise the car up a bit.

Pshh...moar camber imo. The car likes -3 in the front anyway, especially with those tires. Psychoazn was even saying with the RS3's you can go even more than that, and they're happy there. (he's speaking of track setup too)

According to tirerack, RE-11 tread width says 10.2 and RS-3's are 10 so RE-11 is a little wider.

Your looking at the wrong section for RE-11. Thats RE-11's section width, its tread width is 9.4 so the RS-3 is over 1/2" wider

ahh, you're right! I totally knew where to look but did a quick view. Surpised how much wider the RS-3's are!

Of the top tier street tires the RE11s are actually probably one of the most narrow. They also have a really round profile which I think makes them not look as wide too. I had a set of 255 star specs and they were definitely wider than the RE11s. I currently have some RS3s and I think they might even be wider than the star specs were. I haven't seen a 255 AD08 so I can't comment on those but Advans generally run very wide so I wouldn't be surprised if they were the widest of them all.

I'm not overly excited about the fact that the RS3s need more camber though. I'll likely go back to star specs next time I need tires.
