I honestly don't really mind when people run on rotas... it's the few that run them and slap volk/work/etc. stickers on them and claim them to be the real deal that get to me. Oh, and also those that have the rota version of a wheel and talk crap about the authentic version because they are "overpriced." I understand that many of you have your reasons for purchasing the Rota version of the wheel, and I respect your decisions but there's no need to bag on the original manufacturers that designed and developed the wheel in the first place just because they are a bit more pricey

There's a couple of FI track s2000 (350whp +) over here in the UK using ROTA's with no problems. The main reason there is a lot over here is there is no distributor for Rays!

I've done many trackdays and drift days with no problems!

Real or not, everyone has their reasons and as long as they are happy who cares who made the wheels.

But purposely trying to make others think they're real is a whole different story. One of my "friend" (we're no longer friends for others reasons) loved to brag about the "Work Equips" on his Fit when they were in fact Drag DR-20s, for some reason he even felt necessary to lie about his impossibly low offset, rim width, and even claimed he couldn't tell the difference between his and "his friend's Drag DR20"

Lots of cars in this thread look great!

I know how that one goes. One local around here actually had the real work equip centers on his drag wheels. That did make them look even more convincing but you really could tell.

I've got another friend with the rota grids on this wrx and he's got volk stickers on them. The stickers really do make the wheels look better even though they aren't real. At least when people ask he'll tell them they are rotas and not try to pass them off as the real thing.
