^ Yep, I had looked at the specs on Tire Rack but the curious thing here is that the RE11 and RS3 are both listed as 10.2"
To find the info I'm looking for, I went back through all the pages until page 36, //steve\\ notes that:

Of the top tier street tires the RE11s are actually probably one of the most narrow. They also have a really round profile which I think makes them not look as wide too. I had a set of 255 star specs and they were definitely wider than the RE11s. I currently have some RS3s and I think they might even be wider than the star specs were. I haven't seen a 255 AD08 so I can't comment on those but Advans generally run very wide so I wouldn't be surprised if they were the widest of them all.
I'm not overly excited about the fact that the RS3s need more camber though. I'll likely go back to star specs next time I need tires.

And also:
When I had my 255 RE11s, I rubbed on the inner fender wall on certain turns. But with the current 255 RS3s, I'm not, and the RS3s are much wider than the RE11s. But I think it's because I stiffened up my V3s about a month ago. So I think the shock is preventing the tire from making contact with the liner. Both the RE11s and RS3s were on the same wheel, a 17x9 +45.
But with your Cwest fenders, and a +42, I think you'll be fine. Especially with those J's RCAs. You'll be able to get some insane negative camber.

If you really are that untrusting of tire rack's data I'm sure you can call and talk to them and get their opinion.

I take TireRack's measurements with a grain of salt. Believe it or not, "looks" don't lie. Last year I went through a ton of different tires, all being 255s. From RE11s, to RS3s, AD08s, A048s, Star Specs, and S04s. Without a doubt, the RE11 was the most narrow tire out of the group(but my favorite tire). It really comes down to the shoulder of the tire. The RS3 and AD08 had the most squared shoulders, resulting in a "wider" tire. I'm not at all saying you'd be able to feel a difference in contact patch between the different 255s, but visibly, it's obvious.

Hey guys,
I'm looking to get 4 new tires I have 4 NT03+M wheels 18x7.5 +42 offset... What tire size setup can I order to make this work? What I have in mind ATM is front: 215/40/18 and rear 235/45/18 (My front is lower than the back right now and I kinda like the look) which is why I want the 45 rear instead of 40. Please advise! I figured you all might know this better than me. I want to work with what I've got even though I understand the next size up for this wheel is 9.5 width.

I'm looking to go 18x9.5 +55 with 255/35/18s front and rear.
I'm concerned with lock to lock wheel or tire interference with something, A arm or frame rail with tire. I'm lowered b/t 1 to 1.25" and have -2.9 camber. I could go more if needed. The offset calculator actually puts the inside of the rim 1mm more outward than a 17x9 +62 which is what I currently run and I only get very slight rub on the right front frame rail with brand new 255s.
Any input on that?

I'm tarting to think that 18x9.5 +55 will work front and rear which is making me want to buy some nice wheels SSR or Work

In the back you'll be fine. In front, under full lock you might rub on the inside. A 9inch wheel at +63 will rub on the inside under full lock (I did). 9.5 inch +55 will put it close to 9 inch wheel +63 relative to the inner wheel well. You'll likely be okay but if not you can always add a 3mm spacer up front to solve that.

Also to go along with my above post I checked "willtheyfit.com" with the specs stated above vs 17x9.5 +35 volk ce28 and it showed only 4mm off, I don't know how accurate the website is but I would love some feedback on your thoughts for that setup!
