I vote the guy is a douche. There is no discussion of how much income they have and I am guessing if he went from an accord to the M3, he is probably stretching to buy the Bimmer. It is a LOAN at full value of the car. Zero down does not suggest a guy with huge means. Trying to sell it at full price to guys on the board does not suggest he's that bright either.

Unless he is loaded, he should feel like a tard for coming home and saying "Honey, I just took out a loan for $57k so I can look cool in this car!"

I am with the wife. If the roles were reversed and she came home with it without consulting him, all the guys would call her a be-yotch.

A guy in the office that I worked in, in Japan, owned an S2000 for 18 months, and his wife NEVER KNEW ....

He discussed it with her that he wanted to buy one. She said "No!" ... he went ahead and bought it anyway. Rented a garage near his house and kept it there. He would tell his wife that he had to work at the weekends, then pick up the car and take it out for drives .... or if he was going somewhere without her, he would take their Toyota, swap it for the S2000 and then swap back on his way home .... he owned it for 18 months, then he sold it ... I asked him why hesold it and he said that he sold it because he felt too guilty to keep it ..... AFTER 18 MONTHS HE FELT GUILTY !!!!!

That's funny! That is too much trouble to go through just for driving a car once in a while, and not at anytime.
