WTF? Speeding ticket. Radar silent.

If he used POP to get a quick read on the speed, but did not follow-up with a normal radar hit - you can likely win in court. Pretty sure the manufacturers of the POP guns all specify that POP is only supposed to used as an indicator as when to actually use the regular mode.
Can not remember where I read it and I am currently all doped up following a cervical procedure done this morning to care about looking it up.

From: All up in your inner tubes. Whatcha gonna do sucka?
I just laugh at all these idiots speeding and then pissed off when they get a ticket, and try to fight it in court because of radar calibration and shit.
I'm not saying I'm perfect. I have a court date for a ticket in a couple days, but I'm not gonna be a bitch about it and complain why they ticketed me and not the motorcycles that were pacing me in the lane next to me.
I'm gonna man up and request defensive driving...

Always ask when you're pulled over. Helps plan possible defense. I was pulled over driving a company car a couple of years ago in a similar circumstance. The CHiP had just finished writing someone else when I went by, pulled out, and pulled me over in LESS than a 1/4 mile of tailing me. He had the gall to say he paced me. Yeah right, not likely since I saw him and checked my speedo as I went by. I was 12 MPH over (indicated in mine and what he wrote) and slowing as I went by. Yep, nailed for a lousy 12.

Not in California. That's considered a speed trap and is not legal. I don't know about other states, however.
BUT they can pace u and give u a ticket that way without using radar.

Remember in Cali it is illegal to give u a ticket based on how fast u went from one point to another..

One is timing a vehicle between two points.
The other is having a posted speed limit without an engineering study supporting the posted speed limit.
