WRX STi

WRX STi
I'm deciding between the WRX and the S2000. I read that the WRX STi will be released sometime around 2003.
Does anyone know the specs or details of the WRX STi? estimated price?
I almost feel in terms of performance, that the WRX is a better car. It has good torque which I found lacking in my Integra right now. It is also more practical and versatile.
I know the S2000 has the same problem with torque, but it's still a contender. S2000's styling is no doubt the best, but it also lacks versatility. Also more prone to being stolen or messed with.
I wish I could get both.

wow, that is a pretty good place to mount a display. I have been trying to put a deposit down with my local dealerships. None of them want to take my money, what is the deal?
I always want a rally car since I was a kid. Maybe someday, I can actually own one.

The deal is that there is no confirmation that the STi will be coming. All that Subaru of America has said is that if the WRX sells well (and it has been), then hotter versions will come over. Just how "hot" these versions will be is anyone's guess, but I would expect something that is a cross between the JDM WRX STi and the Prodrive UK300.

STi is evil as all hell. Don't even bother trying to race one is a S2000. If performance is the only criteria, go for the STi.
On the other hand, if looks etc come into the equation, don't bother about the STi.

Actually, I wouldn't mind an STi Version 6 Coupe in the garage with the S2000. I just don't like Sedans sports cars other than the BMW M5. After all, both are high performance vehicles anyhow that is anytime ready to give most cars on the road a good spanking.

Well if you are talking about a torque problem the current WRX, torque comes in at 4K. The STI version which will be somewhere in the 30's will have a more powerful engine and some other cosmetic changes but I think it was going to be more like 34-35K. I could be wrong but I read that in an import car magazine.
