What about people getting an aquired taste for coffee? That stuff tastes like shit too, but why do people drink it when it tastes so bitter?

Why do you really feel the need to get "used" to something anyway? Is it to be socially "in" or "cool"? Getting shitfaced drunk these days is no longer the "cool" thing it used to be. In fact, it is now socially unacceptable and irresponsible to do so. Those who think this is just kidding themselves. YOU DO NOT SOUND COOL BY TELLING THOSE AROUND YOU HOW OFTEN YOU GET SHITFACED! You can be just as cool showing your friends that you can have an equally good time drinking pop or juice. Don't be afraid that you might not be as accepted or as "in" if you don't imbibe alcohol especially if you can't stand the taste of it. If that's the way your friends view life, it's time to find new friends.

I love sake. Most people I know don't like it too much, though. Warm alcohol tastes funny to them.

 

Sake is best drunk cold ("reishuu").

 

OK, I Know this sounds really gross, but I know this girl who mixes her beers with Sprite! I tried it once, and it sort of takes the bitter taste from the beer. Not bad, but too girlie for my tastes

 

If you don't like the taste of beer, but still want alcohol that is at the same % alc., then try those fruit-oriented coolers, they are pretty popular with women... BabyGrass, you are allergic to alcohol though right?? Or am I thinking of someone else?

 

You're right Evo, I am allergic to alcohol. But I can sort of tolerate it in mild doses. I wouldn't be able to have a whole bottle of beer or anything, maybe just the amount in the neck part of the bottle. Haha.

 

If you don't like the taste of beer it means you're not drinking enough of it.
