I've noticed alot of people have owned or still own a Prelude alongside their S2000.
If you are one of these people, please reply to the post of what year and model Prelude and what year and color S2K.
Also, are you as "dedicated" to you Prelude as you are your S2000?
Me:
Blk/Blk '00 S2000, stock
Custom/Blk '94 Prelude 4ws, with many, many custom accessories, and exterior mods.
I am dedicated to the Prelude, but its soul is gone. Besides the attachment to the car (kinda like the attachment to a girlfriend of 3 or more years even though you know it's over), to me, it's now just another car with custom exterior work. After owning the S2K and driving it for a whole year, its soul has got me hooked like crack to a junkie.
PS. I hope there are no S2K owners addicted to crack that took offense to my last remark, sorry.

As spokesman of the S2K Crack Junkies Association we find that last remark highly offensive. I mean just cause we'd sell our mothers for crack doesn't mean we're bad people. Oh by the way...anyone need a new VCR? only 15 bucks....c'mon man...can't beat that deal...please i need the money...just buy me some crack then.!

I had a '93 Prelude 4ws for about 6 months while i had my S2k, and I was no where near as passionate towards the prelude as I am with the S2K, I had the prelude for about 5 years and it did do a good job of getting me from point a to point b but never was the experience like it is with the S2K. The prelude was green, and the s2k is '00 silver/black.
I sold the prelude about a year ago and have not regretted selling it one bit. It felt kind of like getting rid of a bad habit. Don't get me wrong I did like my prelude but not like I do the S2K.

1998 Black Prelude SH
2000 Red/black S2000.
Never again will I buy another daily driver car with a black paint job. Too much work and hassle.
I still love the Prelude....utterly reliable with about 67,000 miles on it. Decent performance. No tranny grinds, clutch noise, etc.
That said, I love my S2000 in a different way....it's more than a mere transportation but an extension of one's soul.

'84 Prelude - Red (retired)
'88 Prelude Si - White (retired)
I also owned a '96 GS-R (black, never again!), which I liked even more than my '88 Prelude because it had way more power. Even that felt like a truck after getting my S2000.

I have an 93 Prelude (red). It's still in great shape and I drive it around quite often. I still like it, but my car of choic is obviously the S2K. Nothing better, especially down here in sunny socal.

I had a 1990 white Prelude 2.2 that my daughter is still driving. Its a solid car with good handling, but uninspiring acceleration. I had a red 1996 Prelude VTEC, and it was a whole lot more fun. Good looking car with good handling, reasonable acceleration, and the shifter was smooth as glass. The Prelude is a very nice car, but since I can only afford one such toy, I traded it for a red S2K. The grin factor for the S2K is on a different scale than the Prelude.
