i think this thread only applies to texas residents.
normal ppl aren't allowed to pack heat when going down to the shops but apparently in some parts of texas there is a real need to carry handguns when buying milk at the corner store.

Interestingly enough, you are quite right. I remember an incident on Jasper Ave. in Edmonton a few years back where some kids were spraying cars with supersoakers filled with Javex and they ended up (naturally) hitting a person and burning their face/eyes in some way.

YES, in TX, there was a law passed that if you get your " Concealed Weapons License", class is like $100 or so, then you will be able to carry a weapon ( to certain places).

Personally I have a .357 revolver, but I don't carry it with me. I figured if I get Car-Jacked (God forbid...knock on wood), I'd rather let them have the car then take a life.

Just my .02.

Ohio is but one of a small handful of States that doesn't have some kind of concealed carry law. I own a few pistols that are designed for carry (Kahr Mk40) but I won't give you an idea of how I use them.

This is incorrect. 33 states currently have concealed carry license laws on the books. Even here in New York there is a permit system. I suggest anyone considering concealed carry do a little more consideration and research than on an S2000 forum. Carrying a gun is a serious responsibility.

To answer the posters original question, I have a Glock 17 and a 27. High quality and very reliable handguns.

I would suggest that you reinspect your need and do much research beyond this forum.
