What have you done with your de-valued stocks?

Holding on?

Or are did you sell them and take the loss?

Just trying to figure out what I should do with a couple of stocks that are worth 1/10 of what I paid for them...

1/10th? man! you must be loaded!

actually I'm waiting everything out. even if a few go belly up, I'll still have some valuable shares here and there. diversify, that is the key, it lowers the risk overall. if you stuck everything into tech stocks, then you have learned why you need to diversify. =D

I pray very hard everyday that my stocks and 401K just regain 50% of their high...There is no point of dumping them right now since they are at the bottom (I hope)...

It depends on the stock. Some stocks will never fully recover (if at all) and it is time to finally realize that you'll probably never break-even let alone be up 400% again. It is tough when you were up so much to let these go at a loss, however, it is most likely the best play. Of course other stocks are solid and will recover. These might be worth holding onto. You need to look at each stock individually as it stands now and in the quarters ahead. Wipe away history, it will only prevent you from making the best choice today.

Given enough time, the market will recover. My portfolio was up a little over $10K last month.

I'm holding on to the stocks. I figure I can use them to offset a capital gain, if they never come back.
