What would you spend to save a pet's life?

If it's a non-terminal, treatable condition, and the prognosis is good, I would be willing to spend a good amount (up to $5K I suppose) to make them right again. It's when you have issues like tumors/cancer and other things like that that you really have to make the tough decisions. I've strongly considered adopting a dog but I'm not sure that I want to make those decisions again at this time. Good luck.

I know people that spend 10000 dollars to save a dog. They went into debt for a while to save him. My poor dog is spoiled and gets treated better than many humans on the planet. If he was dying though, then he'd be going to heaven.
At least per me. My wife may be a different story.

It would depend on the pet and the quality of life the pet would have afterwards. we've had dogs and cats make it over 16 expensive years before having to put them to sleep. We spend a hell of a lot of our horses.
