Default We're off to Big Bear

for four nights starting early AM. Big Bear is a mountain resort east of LA at 7,000'. Hopefully, the weather will be good and we'll do lots of serious Astronomy.

Raptor,

Can you recommend a nice place to stay in either Big Bear or Arrowhead?
I want to take the family for a week or so in December.
(I think I'll also take my telescope thanks to your post!!! )

Thanks!

MajorHavoc-

Call Tami or Robin at Spencer Rentals in Big Bear at (909) 866-8315. Tell them George Johnson referred you. We've probably rented from them a dozen times.

The best cabin for Astronomy, which we always rent, is the Wert cabin, 816 Plumas Court. It is a three-level A-frame with a loft, two wrap-around decks, and a view of the lake. It is on the top of a hill, at the end of a cul-de-sac, high up Moonridge toward the ski lifts. Out the front door is an unbroken 360

I've got a great place to stay in Crestline but haven't had the chance to go in several years. Wish I could.
