We have a Maroon Mazda 626 (mid 90's) here in Nashville... Talk about confusing.

Yea stupid unmarked cars...I just moved to AZ a few months ago and a couple nights ago I saw a white Ford Expedition speeding by in the surface streets. So I decided why not follow him since he has some balls going 65 in a 45 on the street I was on. ( usually a lot of cops on the street i was on) and when I was next to him he puts his lights on and I slammed my brakes. As I pull up next to him at the next light he just smiles at me and turns at the next intersection.
In AZ I think I've seen all types of cars as unmarked police cars...crazy I tell you.

Here in Fort Worth cops run in pairs. When one stops a speeder the other hides in the shadow of the first one and shoots over the top. The reason for this is because of a new Texas law says you must drop your speed roughly 20 mph &/or leave a clear lane between you and any stopped emergency vehicle.

The reason I said roughly is that the law has different speed limits for different roads. There are some roads you don't have to slow down on at all.

They are preying upon the confusion factor.

Ditto the Arrows feature as the single reason to buy a V1 over all others. Even if the V1 had lower detection range I'd buy another V1 since the arrows and numbers have saved me on more than one occassion.

Screw un-marks, last time I was driving up in WA, I nearly passed a mom-mobile Volvo. . . wait, that wasn't a mom-mobile.

Also, terrorism and your nearly getting zinged by the local cops are completely tied together.

9/11--->slower economy + unfunded Federal mandates for local cops ---> need for more local revenue ---> more speed traps

Freedom isn't free.

Im going to sticky this post in the electronics section to put an end to the dumb debate regarding which radar is better. Assuming all radars are EQUAL in detection distances and all that crap (the good ones are all the same)....NONE of them would have saved you with the exception of the V1, all due to the arrows. So, the next time you guys want to know why the arrows are a big deal, here is a PERFECT example. V1 is still king, and thanks to a monster patent, it will be king for the next decade.

So did you post it in the electronics section?

Yeah, but when the laws are designed to raise revenue and EVERYBODY is a lawbreaker, who has any more respect for the law?

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

Stupid comment.

I was only speeding; you should be catching the reckless drivers.

I was only driving recklessly; you should be catching the burglars.

I was only committing burglary; you should be catching the bank robbers.

I was only robbing a bank; you should be catching the muggers.

I was only mugging someone; you should be catching the rapists.

I was only committing rape; you should be catching the murderers.

I only murdered one person; you should be catching the terrorists.
wow, talk about a slippery slope

You honestly believe that speed limits are designed to provide a revenue stream, eh?

You honestly believe that a) everybody speeds, and b) because everybody speeds that makes it legitimate for you to speed, eh?

People who take responsibility for their own actions.

Speed, or don't speed, as you wish. But have the maturity to accept the consequences for the choices you make. Quit whining about what everyone else does.
