I spoke with a judge about this once... the minute you admit you were doing EVEN 1 MPH over the limit..the case is done. You admitted to speeding, period.... Your reply was you were going the posted speedlimit according to your speedometer.

How much is the fine? Pay the ticket, take the drivers course by video and forget about it! You've already admitted here that you were speeding. Don't waste the courts time by trying to get out of it. The officer doesn't have to show you on radar. No law exsists that will support this.

If you lose in court it could cost you up to $200.00. You do what you want but it sounds pretty cut and dry from your prespective.

Remember this is not including your attorneys fees.

I agree with JRM.

You admit you were speeding. Take it like a man and pay up.

Just because everyone else does it, doesn't make it right....

I doubt it... in Texas (houston/dallas/austin, anyway)-- EVERYONE speeds. Our highways are 70mph... and Driving to Houston at 100mph, I frequently get passed...they become my duck, and I pace them.

Hiring an attorney to get the charged changed and pay the fees... Ohh-- and if you loose, they typically impose the max-- $250.00. (Don't ask me how I know)
