Stupid gas station!

So last night around 10:30 I'm driving home with two bars on the fuel gage when the low fuel light comes on - no surprise there. In the nearly two years I've had the car, that has consistently meant I can put in around 10 gallons. Many times I've driven the car for several miles with no bars at all. There were 240 miles on the odometer, about right for the amount of highway driving I had done on that tank. I could have blown it off and gotten gas later, but there was a new gas station right by home so I figured what the heck.
Imagine my suprise with I put in 13.0 gallons. Hmm. On a 13.2 gallon tank. Where's that BS flag? Anyway, that would have put my milage at around 18mpg - no freakin' way.
So I found the Texas Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measurements webpage and decided it's about time make a call or something.
Sigh. I hate being ripped off.

That is a VERY dangerous game they are playing if they are really measuring 25 - 30% over. I would have thought that a lot of people run themselves to almost empty and would notice if they put in significantly more fuel than normal.
Have you reported them? I think you should....

Thats really messed up, its way too easy to notice if its THAT much off. I always knew some stations messed with the measures, but THAT is way ridiculous. i think its time to put in that call.
