wow. my ex did this all the time. he would try to take out his drivers license and keep the military id right behind and 'accidentally' show it and they would ask to see the military one and let him go... lucky..

I got pulled over by 4 cars last night for something unrelated to breaking the law.

I always give them both my license and military ID. I don't "hope" he sees it, because the threat level is gone after he does. There's a sense of camaraderie we share.

I think if it's over 20 over you are SOL for driving school. That being said, you should go to court and if the cop doesn't show you are free. If he does show, tell the judge you have not had a ticket in 12 years and ask for driving school. They should grant it. In CALI, driving school does not reduce the fine. You have to pay additional for the priveledge of driving school on top of the ticket, plus pay for the driving school.

i used to do that to, i'm not in the army any more and i'm not sure why, but i really don't speed anymore
