has anyone gotten a speeding ticket?
i freaking just got my first speeding ticket in over 12 years.

does anyone know approx. how much the ticket will be?
im in california and i plan on going to traffic school to get this wiped from my record.

i was doing 56mph in 25mph zone. ooppss
also going to traffic school will help reduce the cost of the ticket?

 

You didn't get the stealth clear coat option on your car? I have it and enjoy worry free speeding everywhere I go!

 

get deferred adjudication, or pay a lawyer to do it for you.

might be a problem with the speed, tho. some courts won't let you get either defensive driving or DA over 20mph. you might be able to talk to the prosecutor since your record seems good....

I thought anything double the posted speed limit was reckless driving??

With that said, my 20 over, was like $250ish(jackson county CA).. traffic school came out to like 2x I think. Traffic school makes it more expensive, but it's not on your record.

The fine amount varies by county.

 

i used to get stopped for speeding all the time, the cops would see my military id, they would let me go every time

I have yet to get a speeding ticket which I think I have done better than my 3 brothers up to this age haha. I did get a warning though. What is going through a city planner's head when he sticks a 30 mph zone in the middle of one of the most major roads in the city. Anyways, I had friends and like 5 Pizza Hut Pizza Mias the cop was just like wtf thats a lot of pizzas! I was really friendly and nice and he let me off with a warning.
Lucky break! Now every time I go down that road I go 30 and raging suvs speed around me just to get in the turn lane. The thing is about aggressive driving, you usually just get to the red light faster .
(I was going 45 when I got pulled over. In my s2k I am comfortable going 40 so I barley ever speed now cause when you enjoy the car there is less of a rush to get out of it )

Btw is it universal in America for cops to troll you? In my city the cops will follow you for like a freaking mile before pulling you over. When I got my warning I went up one street, made a right, and was like half a mile away from my starting place in a 40 mph zone before he pulled me over into the hospital. The other night when I saw a cop pull over a lexus who accelerated really fast without knowing a cop was there and was speeding had the cop pull behind him, and he changed lanes, the cop changed lanes, and then finally after like half a mile pulled him over into a parking lot.
