be happy you got that, The best I got over here is "crank and chrome" on TNN. And SOMETIMES if I'm lucky they'll show some NASCAR on TNT. Don't take it for granted or else........

Until last night, I have been pretty satisfied with the new format of Speed Channel. A bit too much re-airing of the same shows/interviews relating to NASCAR, but what can be expected when they're trying to flood the airwaves with NASCAR coverage? The rally coverage has been pretty good, maybe not perfect but I just got into rally and get a kick out of watching re-airs of the Swedish rally. The big question mark is going to be CART/F1/ALMS coverage once those seasons start up.

I mention last night because the Speed Channel was airing redneck racing for a good 2 hours. I think it was actually "Bike Week" but they were covering motorcycle demolition derby, I shit you not. Followed up by the bottom of the gene pool riding motorcycles around. I wasn't paying complete attention to it, but every time I looked there was another hillbilly sitting on a stationary bike with a big 'ol grin. Isn't the Speed Channel about going fast?

IIRC, there's no GP, SuperBike, SuperSport, Formula Extreme or whatever racing going on in the motorcycle world right now. There really isn't anything for Speed Channel to show.
