Unfortunately, NASCAR is the big money maker. That's why they started carrying it in the first place. There's atleast two good ol boys that would rather watch NASCAR for every F1 fan out there.

That said, there's a market for carrying other motorsports. If Speed doesn't pick it up, somebody will. . . or would be foolish not to take advantage of the market out there.

And yes, NASCAR just needs its own channel. I have checked some days during the spring/summer/fall the programming is literally 90% NASCAR coverage (excluding off hours informercials), only to be broken up by a Speed News show that talks about NASCAR half the time. What kills me is it all circulates around a single 3-4 hour race...
Even the Super Bowl doesn't get that much coverage.
