I dunno. I thought the whole idea of "Ladies Night" discounts was to encourage more women to go to bars, especially on weeknights.
I've got nothing against men, mind...but if the end result is LESS women in bars...then it doesn't seem like a point for men. (The straight men, anyway...)

octane girl hit it... the whole point is to encourage more women to come. The more women in the bar/club, the more likely men will come. And the more men that come because of women, the more money they make cause men buy more drinks and will pay more money to be where beautiful women are..
When I used to be a bouncer in a huge club in chicago we used to intentionally put hot women in our lines outside so that guys rolling buy would want to come into our club cause they saw all the hot women standing outside...

I meant to be sarcastic in the title.
I think it will lead to nothing. Probably a name change and certain qualification changes in the "Ladies Night" theme.
What I mean is that they will just do something else to promote a "special" to get women into their bars.

a lot of bars/clubs in NYC are "Ladies free before 11pm" and guys pay full cover or "2-for-1 for Ladies" or whatever other promotion there is nowadays. i don't think i've ever heard of anyone complaining to the point of actually taking action against it. what octane-girl said is absolutely true because guys (at least the ones i used to party with) want to be where the girls are.
