I have a suspended license in New Jersey. But I have a Connecticut License. That because I moved to CT a few months ago. I surrendered my NJ license when I moved here to CT.

Anyways, I have to renew my license and one of the question they ask on the form is whether you are suspended in any other state. Obviously I am. I know NJ, NY and CT all share information with each other.

It also says, if you apply for a license during suspension, you can be subject to alarge fine and/or prison and 2 years license suspension.

But if I do not renew in CT when it expires next week, that would suck because I work and go to college in CT, and if its not renewed I would get in trouble if I was pulled over for an expired license. Plus I think if I don't reapply for my license in time, it will send up red flags and DMV will find out about my suspension in NJ.

But if I mark the box about suspensions in other states, what can happen? They won't renew my license then?
