i think the lesson to learn is:

dont trust cops or government. buy a handgun or if u only have 200 bucks, go to walmart and buy a shotty. people will listen to u and wont punch u in the face anymore.

I really don't see this as abuse of police power. This is a small town thing. The fact that the guy was a cop and should have been acting as such makes the offense especially egregious but the long and short of it is that he knows and dislikes the guy and took an opportunity to kick his ass. This is not a typical "police brutality" case. Far from it. These two guys hate each other.

It shouldn't matter. When you're wearing the uniform, you are enacted with special powers, and are carried to a higher standard. You're not just "Chuck from down the street, with a badge, who hates Larry."

Yah, I've seen other so-called Police Brutality videos such as the UF kid and other ones, which I didn't necessarily see as that bad. But that was definitely wayyy out-there and classified as police-brutality.

I wouldn't count on it. It's extremely difficult to get much of a judgement against police officers, or the state in general for that matter. They don't even have any money, where are you going to get it from?
Take it to State Internal Affairs Office.

I have a guy in my unit that work for IA for the state of Florida and I emailed him the video and even he said that was ****ed up and that the cop would be suspended with pay pending an investigation.

With pay my ass? I wish I could beat someones ass at work and get smacked on the wrist and given a paid vacation for doin it, seems if you have a badge, you get to pick and choose which laws apply to you depending on whats convenient.

It really is disturbing to watch something like that. I wanted that police to go through the traps in SAW.
