It's 'hike up your skirt a little more, and show your world to me'.

I'll be the first. I like them. I wouldn't consider myself a die-hard fan, but I have all their albums and a lot of live shows. I enjoy the music. But then again, I enjoy all music. You should see my playlist at work. I've got a mixture of everything. Anyway...getting off track.

With Dave Matthews, people either hate them or love them. I don't really care what people think. And I'm not about to go a plead a case to everyone that turns around and says they suck. If you don't like them, fine with me. Everyone likes their own type of music, and I'm not about to tell someone they are stupid for liking Slipknot or something.

I've come to the point now where IF I do go see them in concert (which is becoming rare now that it costs almost as much in fees as it does a ticket), I try to pick outdoor venues (like The Gorge in Washington) because I at least get a little more fresh air circulation. The weed is a little too much for me. On the flip side, you have to deal with all the 'dancing nancies'. haha. (That's a title to one of their songs. Story goes he was in Germany and asked the cab driver if the girls dancing on the corner were prostitutes. The cabbie said no, they're dancing nancies).

Anyway, I don't know what it is about them that appeals to me. At this point, I have listened to them for so long that I just have become use to their music. I do find myself listening more to the solo acoustic stuff then the whole band, but there are a few full band songs that are still good to listen too.

So there you go. You've got one person who is a fan.

Don't hate em, don't love em. They have a few ggod songs but are definately overrated by many. They are far from gods IMHO.

I also forgot that because of the racial make up of the band, uber-square white girls will have a band that'll infuriate their dads (which, if you don't know already, equals WIN).
