I had an extra ticket but now its gone. At Miami you had to be a booster or a season ticket holder to get tickets. The booster got better seats.

Plus I couldn't put a Nebraska fan in harms way sitting in the Hurricane Booster section!

Thanks for your concern We have family friends that have been season ticket holders at Nebraska forever and even they are having problems getting tickets. Oh well, the search continues......

Looks like it's going to be a sea of red at the Rosebowl.

A friend of mine lives in Pasadena and volunteers for the torunament of roses. They let him purchase 6 tickets to the game. I'll see if he still has any left.

There aren't. Not all BCS teams are in bowls -- by a longshot.

A little insight:

1. All Division I-A teams are eligible for the BCS, the 63 teams you refer to are only GUARANTEED a BCS birth if they win their conference

2. There are 6 guaranteed spots - the winners of the ACC, SEC, Big 10, Pac 10, Big East and of course, the premier conference, the Big 12! The other two are at large bids. Also, no more than 2 teams from any one conference can be in the BCS (a big concern for us Longhorns when we were #7 but both OU and UN were in front of us)

3. As far as tickets for the game, readily available on Ebay for about $1000 apiece.

4. In regards to picking the teams that will bring in the revenue, this would only be true if the scalpers determined lineups. Most big game tickets (I would have to research the school allotments for the Rose Bowl but the Big 12 championship allotted only 9,000/school out of the 70k+ that Texas Stadium seats) go on sale at the beginning of the year (except the school allotments) so they are gobbled up by scalpers and hopeful fans (I'm sure there are a few sets floating around Austin, as well as Norman, for sale).

5. There are 25 bowl games this year

$1,000 for a ticket aint cuttin it. $150 face value for a Rose Bowl ticket is outrageous. That's why all those dudes in their white suits drive around in fancy cars with Tournament of Roses plates.
