If you had actually read the article you would have realized Norton could'nt prevent this. Not that Norton can prevent anything anyhow what a waste of $ and resources that is. FTR neither could any other software currently in use.

Why the hell is this called a cyber missile? Why does everything virtual have to be analogized into some almost entirely unrelated physical object?

Because it's a calculated, targeting weapon, not vague in design, meant to destroy things, most likely controlled remotely similar to a predator drone.
