I'm in the networking industry, this worm is more like a living organism the way it changes and adapts. As the article said it is most definitely less worm, and more weapon. What's scary is that this isn't specific to just nukes or Iran; this can literally be adapted to take over anything and everything.

At first I was like "yeah right, this is Iran just coming up with some lame excuse as to why their nuclear program is failing." But then I read on, I was fascinated.

Unbelievable.

I don't know if it is true or not but I read an article somewhere that somehow a "clue" in the code of the worm pointed to Isreal.

But as far as I am concerned, whomever did it, bravo.

Originally, all eyes turned toward Israel’s intelligence agencies. Engineers examining the worm found “clues” that hinted at Israel’s involvement. In one case they found the word “Myrtus” embedded in the code and argued that it was a reference to Esther, the biblical figure who saved the ancient Jewish state from the Persians. But computer experts say "Myrtus" is more likely a common reference to “My RTUS,” or remote terminal units.
While I don't disapprove of the ending (Iran being non-nuclear; or ineffeciently nuclear), this worm is nothing to bravo about. This is essentially a nuclear bomb without the "devasating" effects. This can be used to stop any company from functioning, any power grid, any power source.... anything... and do it completely silently. It's malleable in that it can be changed to read any type of sensors. Infact what it does with the centrifuges is that not only does it change the speed at which they rotate, but it reports to all sensors as if their acting normal.

So while every sensor may report it spinning at say 3000 rpms, it's really spinning at 5k. This is silent nuking, and it's terribly scary to think about. Imagine every plane in the sky just dropping at the same time.... yes, this makes that very possible.
