im so happy they gave him a ticket.. going slower than the speedlimit is very dangerous.. its so annoying when your going the speed limit and then have to slow down because some ahole decided to hold up everyone.

Difference in speed is what causes most hwy accidents. He was artificially creating a large "difference in speed" and therefore was a menace.

I just wish they'd give more.

Regardless. The guy wasnt allowing people to pass. Therefore he is impeding the flow of traffic.
No where in the OP article does it say he was not allowing traffic to pass. It also says he got the ticket for 58 in a 65. The ticketed mortorist claims he was in a 55 and got tickted for 58. Like I said above im still perplexed. Also highways are minimally 2 lanes this guy was not driving both lanes so traffic had an open lane to pass.

Does anyone have the update from the Maryland SP?

^^
Most 2+ lane roads I've ever driven on have very clear signage that says Keep Right Except To Pass. Driving in the passing lane even when there are no cars is *technically* ticketable..even if it seems silly.

i just got pulled over for going 45 in a 50. cop said i was suspecious because i was going so slow. I guess i should have been drunk and going 60 and i would have fit right in with the typical New Mexico driver.
Actually most drunk drivers tend to driver slower than the speed limit.

Route 50 through PG County is a four lane divided highway (2 lanes in each direction). Unless he was in the left lane, I think this is a pretty lame ticket.
