Why is it that whenever I think of the "street encounters" forum, I immediately picture this:

Do you guys prefer street racing to racing at a track?
even in video games--GT4/5 >> grand theft auto to me
If there were more tracks open do you think you'd go there instead of street racing?
What do you think of street racing?
i don't think taking off from a stoplight is really the same as full out street racing, and in the last few years, i think the two have come to be considered one and the same. and i do think carving canyon roads is fun, but safety has to be a priority.
controlled environments and control of vehicles are the keys, because that keeps everybody safe. i have to remind myself that not all cars handle equal, and while i've got a short throw shifter and gumball tires, the guy next to me might have screaming kids throwing food at him in the minivan.

sorry for my mistakes. I'm kind of new to this so please excuse my ignorance.
That being said, thanks to everyone who could help out even though i may have posted this in the wrong place.
It's not about what i think is right or smart, i just need a bunch of people to tell me their views so i can use them as a source.

Street racing is just a part of natural selection.
If the bad things that happen (death, disfigurement, incarceration, financial bankruptcy, OCD, civil lawsuits, etc.) ultimately lead to a break in a genetic line, then nature is doing its job.
Not good, not bad, just nature taking its course.
I don't race at a track and there would need to be a purse large enough to turn profit against my time, my capital investments, and other concessions made. Currently, I don't believe that is the case...I may be wrong.
The wedding pic above is not from the S2K "street encounters" forum. He spinz yarns over on the 'maro chevy forum. He still laments the death of the "TramsAm"...I assume that car is dead now anyhow.
"Listen to them tars squall!!!"
With S2k, the street encounters forum conjurs this image in my head:
