The problem with jury duty and the judicial system in general is that more than half of the people on the jury will be just as stupid as the "victim" and they will award her a large sum of money.

Easy fix: Create a definition by which lawsuits can be dismissed by the judge as frivoulous, and if declared so the plaintiff pays a percentage of the claim they were seeking to the defendant.

Or, bar attorneys from taking the case on a contingent basis and the plaintiff must pay by the hour.

Most of these numb-nuts would not file any claims if they had a financial risk involved.

Attorneys just take them because if one in ten hits big money they make out like bandits and there are so many they can't make enough rain as it is.
