Wait... what is she suing for? Based on the headline of the video (I don't have audio), she's suing because nobody helped her. Is that true? If so, surely she'll lose. She was in the fountain for all of 4 seconds before she stepped out on her own... how is somebody supposed to come to her aid in that amount of time? And why would someone come to her aid when she does not appear to be injured?

This is just another reason that I hate stupid people. The mall will probably settle, just to avoid going to court, and she'll make 10 grand or more just for being an oblivious moron.

In a just world, she would lose the case and have to pay for the mall's lawyer and also be fined for filing a frivolous case and wasting taxpayer resources.

She's suing for the embarrassment shes undergoing that came when the mall employees posted the surveillance video on youtube.

Which is ridiculous since she just showed her face on camera which will prove to people that it really was her.

She's also a criminal with a record. She probably has a lot of debt due to her credit fraud charges and she needs some quick cash. Stupid people are stupid.

If that's the case, I'd assume that she'd still lose. This happened in a public place, so I don't think she has a right to privacy. She might be able to argue that they posted the video to cause emotional distress or something, but I think that would be a stretch.

Regardless, I hope she loses and that it ends up costing her a considerable sum of money.

What a moron! If she was so injured or concerned why didn't she immediately contact mall security.

Updated with additonal text and commentary.

She complained that it took mall security 20 minutes to arrive.

Looks like malls will have to invest in fountain lifeguards.
