Part of his rational in creating that residence was it's proximity to the Scientology head quarters nearby.

That is truly over-indulgence. It's essentially Liberace without the gold plated toilets or Hammer without the 126 man entourage.

Thats pretty retarded. So by your justification he should have a cheaper hobby than being a pilot? What about all the guys that can afford to run the Ferrari FXX race cars ......they sicken you too?

To John Travolta for having a hobby and pursiung it inspite of peoples retarded feelings about his personal interests

nah... I think people just put too much into money and material possessions as a status. There is definately a line between living comfortably wealthy and living where money is the driving factor in life to collect things that don't really matter or building a compound to live on. The question is at what point do we draw the line. The line is at different places for different people.

DAYAMMM that is a nice setup.
If he earned the money, more power to him.
If he chooses to donate money as well, even more respect to him.

What if you've got more money than you could spend in 5 lifetimes and feeding the poor wasn't the biggest things on life's to-do list.

I'm sure he entertains a whole bunch of people at his house, and needs the space. You should see the business parties major business men give at their houses to support political ends, charities, associations, etc - when you reach this level you need a house of that size.

I'm sure someone who has no clue what I'm talking about will argue with me......my answer to you is: go eat cake
