Actually, my best friend "lost" his (I must say, cute) girlfriend due to her finding a boyfriend over the Internet
I guess, in his terms, he trusted her too much....
To make matters worse, well, she USEd HIS COMP, to chat with her boyfriend during night, days, all-the-time
Eventually, she broke up with her boyfriend she met over the Net and was begging to go back to him..

Internet dating is asking for trouble.
I had a dorm floormate who was ENGAGED to a girl out in no man's land Nebraska or something like that (we were in cali). He would spend hours and hours on the internet and the phone EVERY night talking with her. His monthly phone bills ranged anywhere from $200-400. Well, during FINALS, he finds out that she doesn't "love" him anymore and he goes ballistic. I've never seen a guy so depressed in my life. He completely forgets about school and gets on the next flight out to Nebraska so that he can "talk some sense into her" because he can't stand it any longer.
Needless to say, his "talk" didn't work out the way he wanted it to and he came back more depressed than ever. He dropped out of college for a semester and finally made it back ... still messed up from his previous bout.
Next thing we know, he's on ICQ again, talking about how all these girls on the internet want him and he can't decide which one to go for .... needless to say ...
We stopped talking to him.

I met my current GF online. Been dating for a year now and she is incredible. Beautiful too.
