Default Insurance question???

I'm just wondering if insurance will fix a car that slipped on an icey road and it got damaged. No other car was involved. The car slide and it hit the curb and both back tires are badly damaged. One is basically at a 45 degree angle. The cops were never called, just a tow truck to get it home. This of course is not my car, it's my little sister's car. Also, I have never had this happen to me or to anyone close to me so I'm not sure if insurance will fix it or not. Any insight or info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you need to check with your sister's insurance company about their policy when it comes to weather related one car incidents. don't mention the problem, just ask for what the insurance will cover. the insurance might require a deductible, they might not. you should get the damage estimated at a few mechanical shops too. i lived in minnesota for 20 years and insurance covered weather related accidents all the time as none fault.

That's what the collision portion of your insurance is for. If the car had collision on the policy then it will be fixed. If the car didn't have collision I think you'll be out of luck.

Thanks for your inputs. I'll have my sister call her insurance company.
