I have an EDTV Gateway Plasma 42".
Dont laugh it was cheap! <2000$
Anyways.
Im having trouble with the picture. I get bands of color in some scenes on a DVD and TV. Also when Im play a dark section of a movie, the screen dims the brighness so it gets even darker and hard to see...
any ideas?

 

Are you sure your hooking up the right connections! Do you have the standard RCA Y/W/R mixed up with the Composite out I cant remember the colors B/G/?!

 

No ideas apart from the above, but you should try asking on www.avsforum.com - there are people there who own the same set.
