Well, I think I just want another car out of impulse. I've had my beloved S for over 3 years now and wouldn't trade it in for most anything reasonable. Sure, I want a faster car, but not at the expense of driving dynamics, handling prowess, hardcore-ness, etc. It seems I'm left with not many options, so perhaps I'll just keep the S.
I guess I'll have to pull the Mopar out of retirement if I want to keep up with my dad. Super Bee with 440 6-pack.

Zo6 would be an excellent new toy.
Another car to consider would be an Elise Federal, (assuming that Lotus comes through and actually imports them to the US with the specs that have been kicking around the internet).
The Elise would be one of the very few roadsters that would be a full upgrade to your S2000.

Or, if you can afford it, get a Viper! Those cars are really nice! Anyway just my point of view.

I'm already an avid kart racer (B&S 5hp, B&S 8hp alky, and open kart) and would love to auto-x or participate in some track days, but I just don't have time right now. College sucks in that way.
But my dad says even with his car shifting at 4krpm or so, he will beat my car. (Although I'm still a bit skeptical.) "You can't even begin to imagine how fast this thing is! It's laughably fast."

Some of us worked for ours, but then again, we would have taken a free one too. I have no problem admitting my jealousy .
