For a long while I have been able to enter 6-0-7 into my remote control faster than any other combination ( 607 is the channel for Speed-vision/channel on direct tv ). So when all of this talk about NASCAR TV taking over Speedvision I was pretty disappointed. But I have to say that so far I think I like the new programming on Speed Channel better than Speed Vision. From what I've seen they haven't taken anything away from SpeedVision, but just added to the race content.

When you use the filter on the programming web page on the Speed Channel's web site to see just auto racing content for the month of March this is what you come up with: ( keep in mind this only March )

Two more F1 weekends, including practice, qualifying, pre-race and race.
1 Cart race weekend, including qualifying, pre-race and race.
ALMS - 12 Hours of Sebring
Grand Am - 1 race from Fontana
Speedvision Touring and GT - 1 race each

Plus FIA rally and Toyota Atlantic coverage

And some of the NASCAR stuff is worth watching.

So channel 607, whatever you want to call, it still remains my favourite channel on TV.

And I hope everyone caught the MAJOR announcement last night. The Speed Channel has added the World of Outlaws dirt-track series to their repetoire. Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh dooooggggyyyyy!!!

 

Figured you might like that Gregg, seeing as though the last time I saw you on a track you were powersliding through some dirt/gravel in West VA. I take it there was no off-roading this weekend at Summit Point?
