Default Howdy From a New S2000 Owner!

Hey all,

Subject line says it all. After putting it off for about 2 years, I finally pulled the trigger on the purchase of a beautiful 2005 Honda S2000

Just a bit of background on myself -- prior to buying this car, my primary vehicle was/is my 2003 Subaru WRX. Ol' girl still has a lot of giddyup thanks to the aftermarket mods, but I've since reflashed the ECU to slow mode since I was getting a robust 17 mpg with the speed mods She will now serve as my daily driver while my S2000 will be my fun/warm weather car.

Needless to say, I am more than enthralled with the S2000. I've always loved the look of it since its release and always heard of the stories of its wonderful performance and high revving engine. The test drive all but galvanized my suspicions about this car (all of them positive), and thanks to a phenomenally good deal, decided to get a certified used one with a 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty to boot (which was just the icing on the cake...I LOVE this car!)!

I should've joined this party 2 years ago, but hey...better late than never, and I'm looking to the same level of great times with the S2000 that I had/have with the Rex!

Anyway, long story short, just wanted to say howdy to you all, and cheers to such a fine car!

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the nut house .. I guess you didn't want the extra 20 hp you get when you buy a Berlina Black..

LOL well tell you what, I also wanted the Berlina Black...having owned a black car for the past 5 years (my '03 WRX), I can attest that, in my humble opinion, no other color looks better after being washed/waxed/detailed than a black car. Buuut, I have to admit, she was a bit high maintenance in terms of cleaning....sure woulda been nice to have that extra 20 hp though

Hey, here's a really really horrid newbie question. So, I was so excited at my purchase yesterday that I did not bother to check if the Honda dealership included the user manual (which apparently they didn't and I'll be getting it tomorrow) -- where oh where do I find the button that unlocks my gas tank cover?

The manuel is probably in the secret compartment. The fuel button is on the rear of the drivers side door frame. Nice pair of cars you have.
