It's such an exciting series. How could they be so stupid? NASCAR is laughing all the way to the bank.

 

Unless American's compete at the F1 level, and even then, it's unlikely to me that F1 will take off here. I've followed F1 since I could read R&T, however, the current HAL dominated technology makes for boring races. It's all about technology and qualifying. Too often, the races are Team A, car's 1 & 2, followed by Team B, car's 1 & 2, followed by Team C, etc. Combine that with the fact that there is no "equalizer" to keep things stirred up; by that I mean, the pace car yellow that bunches everyone up (like CART) - which American's are use to seeing. When someone has a lead in F1, as well deserved as it may be, they are usually gone unless the car breaks. I was at the Indy F1 this year; and, there was enough action to keep it pretty interesting (for me). I've spoken with others who attended (for example, people attending the Ford 100 years of racing event at Greenfield Village on Sat. And, several said they did not plan to go back to see anymore F1 races. Maybe ABC, or whoever, can stir up interest but I really doubt it.
