Some of those trick shots were amazing. Gas operated semi's always have lower recoil but that must be really smooth. As far as what you use it for? Trick shots, obviously! I mean, skeet and most hunting has restricted load allowance anyway (1, 2, or 3 rounds by rule or law).

Home defense? Pump action or lower-cost semi works fine IMO. But youo have to realize this is not a lot of money to many shotgunners-for-life. The fellow who got me into skeet shooting has two 5-figure shotguns (both Berettas, IIRC) among other lesser arms. I was afraid to shoot them (but they worked just fine)!

A used to know someone who worked for a major gun shop. He told me that 80% of people use shotguns to protect their home. 60% of those, have skeet type shotguns, meaning, they hold 2 shells at a time, one in each barrel. He told me those are the worst type of home defense guns you can get, because if you miss, you are SOL, since it takes a good 10 seconds (if you are fast) to reload. In that time, you would be stabbed to death by the burglar. Pump action shotguns are much better, but must be cleaned and greased often, and still, if someone with a gun (9mm or whatever) breaks in, if you miss 1 shot, he can get 3 off before you shoot the next one.

This gun, has all the benefits of a shotgun (wide spread, needs less accuracy) with none of the shotgun drawbacks. When it comes to protecting my loved ones, $1500 is chump change.

dayum! i have never shot a shotgun before, but from what i hear they have a lot of kick. but damn, this guy is blasting away like that thing is a toy. like one of those shooting gallery things at the theme park!

i'd buy one to protect the house if i lived in a shady neighborhood.
