process MAY be:
you will talk to the da, if you take his offer there is not 100% the court will. the recourse to not taking the offer is the mercy of the court, usually bad.
if you get a lawyer, get someone who handles this type of thingy. for example not a divorce attorney. get the lawyer to outline his procedure to handle your case. will he personally be there with a plan on your court date?

I think the magical "25 over" is actually a myth. I recently got caught doing a 94 in a 65(i know it was stupid of me) in the Bay Area and was able to clear it thru traffic school. Although to this day i dont believe my 4runner can even go that fast. They said they caught me by airplane. Anyways i digress. I ended up talking to a lawyer who said it starts to get serious at a 100+ if i remember correctly. The only thing was i was forced to show up in court and ask for traffic school in person. Anyways hope that helps. Maybe every county is different. Good luck.
